The Ones By Genelec

Genelec a well known Finnish monitor manufacturer recently announced the global release of 2 of their latest loudspeakers thus completing their so-called “The Ones” collection. Previously releasing the 8351 the first and the largest of the said series. Genelec yet released two loudspeakers to complete the set the 8331 and 8341.
Why “The Ones?” the said three speakers share what Genelec calls a “point source” philosophy. Where the 3 share common features at different points. The integrated baffle and waveguide just to name a few. Adding to its extensive design and engineering The Ones also features the same digital connectivity and DSP room tuning that has been part of their design for years.

A new spin (get it?) on outsourcing and helping us gain a fresh perspective of our own mixes. Instead of wondering what we had done wrong, we have an outside perspective to help us gain the insight and proper guidance to finish our projects with ease. We can be overtly critical on ourselves and in that process miss simple fixes. Getting a step back and a new perspective on these ideas will help freshen the project.

The REAPER Blog provides an instructional video on stutter editing and how it can be used to enhance your experience on REAPER SOFTWARE. Stutter editing is a technique where the user can take half of an audio clip and duplicate it so that it creates a loop of sound, so that you can create a set of beats without having to spend significant amounts of time recording. Not only does the instructor show how to complete this function manually, but he also shows how a script can be used to complete this tasks, which automates the action and accomplishes the task even quicker!
