Just when you are sure that black is the standard color for speakers Dynaudio releases LYD 5 and 8. The newest addition to the LYD series and its not black.
John Andrews takes a look at this series in white, yes they are white. The LYD 5 and LYD 8 comes in sets of threes with its name representing the woofer size. Designed for small and medium studios setting it up is a no-brainer. It comes with a manual to help you adjust sound depending on your room size.
The Dynaudio LYD has a Position setting where you have two choices “wall or free” It helps you adjust your speaker position on how close it is to the wall.

Using Compression To Make Home Recordings Punchier
Home recording is capable, in 2016, of producing the same audio quality as pro recording studios. It comes down almost entirely to the knowledge of the people involved.
For example, there are tools like software effects available for free. But if you don’t understand how to use these effects, or what they can do to help (or hurt) your audio, then they aren’t very useful at all.
But in the hands of people who have some knowledge – and often, not even hard knowledge – effects like compression can take a bland audio recording and really make it sound awesome.
