Offering a lot of flexibility for processing your vocals, channel strips can be handy tools. Here are a few channel strip plugins you can use and some tips how you can get the most from them.
The Pro Audio Files site has a list of 6 “plugin versions” of channel strips, which can make things even more flexible than having to deal with hardware units while everything else is software.
One of the units mentioned in the linked post below is the UAD API Vision Channel Strip – with its unmatched sound quality this strip is beautifully clean, clear and open. It also offers flexibility in case you need a little punch with your vocals.
Here’s a tip how – you can drive the input gain for that punch you want to achieve. Even when pushed to its limits it does not lose its class always sounding pleasant. Mix it with extreme compression and there you go.

The Principle Of Operation Of A Capacitor (Condenser) Microphone
Q=CV? Yeah. If you are super interested in the math for a condenser microphones, then you might want to get familiar with this equation. Another term for condenser mics is “capacitor mics.” In fact, it makes more sense to call them “capacitor mics” than condenser mics.
If you must know…
Q = Electrical Charge, when the capacitor is charged, an imbalance between the number of electrons
C = Capacitance or the ability of the capacitor to store a charge
V = Voltage
The condenser (capacitor) microphone can only produce a very weak current from the diaphragm. To be able to do this it must have an internal amplifier.

Apparently High-Definition Vinyl Is Coming Next Year
Rebeat Innovation an Austrian-based company has begun working on bringing back vinyl records into the 21st century. For the young ones out there you might be asking what a vinyl record is, while for those who lived to see one this is great news. Bringing back the past but this time in a more advanced way.
The process of creating records hasn’t changed much over the years, it includes lasers, specifically used to convert analog audio information into a digital 3d topographic map of music. Topping it up with light etching all these on a platter.

6 EQ Tips: Boost or Cut the Frequencies?
Ever heard the phrase “Cut, don’t boost!” and ever wondered is it true? Do you want to know when to cut or when to boost when sculpting your EQ? Well, this article is just for you.
But first – in case you don’t know what I’m talking about (cut what? boost what?), check out my post and video explaining what EQ and frequencies are – What is Equalization, Usually Called EQ?
Understand that equalization is one of your most powerful tools, whether you’re mixing music or recording voiceovers.
You can transform a bad sounding instrument or voice, and potentially turn those poor recordings into beautiful masterpieces. But they only have two functions as sophisticated as it sounds you need to understand these. Adding and reducing the number of set frequencies.
Boosting is the act of adding volume (energy) to frequencies, while cutting is the act of reducing them. Here’s an article from Waves.com about that – Read more here: https://www.waves.com/eq-tips-boost-or-cut-the-frequencies
