Inspired by hit Netflix show Stranger Things, Dom Morley’s 600MB library comprises 35 modular synth construction kits, each at 80,90,100 or 100bpm, and made up of five loops of four or eight bars in length. You might get a bassline, a melody, an arp, a pad and a pluck, for example. The sounds are minimalistic and straightforward – simple, it could be said – with the genre’s characteristic retro ‘naivety’ and analogue warmth, but there’s not really anything here that we haven’t heard many times before.
