It is incredible how our voice is different from every individual. Moreso, it is astonishing how similar two people’s voices can be to each other. When recording, it is an advantage to know how the singer’s vocal tone is actually being produced in order to capture it more accurately.
It is the vocal tract resonators of the articulatory system that amplify and modify the original “voiced sound”. On the other hand, the vocal tract articulators (the tongue, soft palate, and lips) modify the sound shapes as they leave your mouth. Therefore, the articulators produce recognizable words.
