Synchro Arts Announce Revoice Pro 4

Synchro Arts have upgraded their flagship pitch/time correction software Revoice Pro to version 4.

The new version has a Vibrato Warp Points which facilitate more natural-sounding time stretching of the original vibrato and improved pitch and level display and editing. Aside from that, the Revoice Pro version 4 has customisable keyboard short cuts which makes editing a lot easier especially for beginners.

Free Tarabia Distortion VST/AU Plugin

Smaolab has announced the release of Tarabia Distortion, a freeware distortion effect in VST and AU plugin formats. It is said to be compatible for both PC and MAC users. Yay!

Based on two algorithms, Tarabia Distortion has both heavy and mellow algorithms. Tarabia Distortion as a tool for adding character to software synthesizers, but the plugin will also work well on other types of audio such as drums or bass guitars. There are two knobs that control the input gain and the dry/wet level while the 2-way switch is used to choose the active distortion algorithm.

FX Mate from Abletunes is a simple multi-effect plug-in that offers eight effects in eight dials. The self-explanatory controls for Punch, Drive, Bass Boost, Bright, Reverb, Stereo, Space, and Delay makes it very simple to understand and master.
It boasts 32 eclectic presets and operates at both 32- and 64-bit, although we found the GUI to be a bit large for such a simple plug-in and somehow the Stereo effect wreaks havoc. Despite of this, FX Mate is an incredibly simple, but surprisingly effective plug-in that can be used to quickly enhance and lift any sound.
