Envelopes are often used in synthesis to modulate just about anything, but did you know that there are more ways you can use your envelopes? Before getting into complexity let us first understand the basics, like what actually is an envelope and how can we use it in everyday mixes.
Envelope by definition is a table of data points that is output over a specified period of time. Triggered by a new note or key press the output usually has a sustain stage dictating the overall duration depending on how long one presses the key.
