Acoustic Guitar Home Recording In 5 Steps

1. Make sure to minimalize room influence by placing your mic as close to your instrument as possible, but still keeping a comfortable distance. By doing so you are keeping a balanced sound for your guitar.
2. Capture full dynamic range of your guitar by optimizing the gain level of your mic-pre but ensure not overdrive the signal as this becomes a disruption in your DAW. Do it immediately as this is hard to repair further in the process.
