There are so many possible ways to drum recording and it could get complicated. From the space to your acoustics even to your gear, drum recording could get a little bit out of hand. Despite all these, there is hope, here some basic reminders how to record your drums.
Stick to these and you would not go wrong. Golden rule number 1: Choose the instrument according to the sound you wish to do. If it’s Jazz then it’s all Jazz nothing more nothing less.

Inspired by hit Netflix show Stranger Things, Dom Morley’s 600MB library comprises 35 modular synth construction kits, each at 80,90,100 or 100bpm, and made up of five loops of four or eight bars in length. You might get a bassline, a melody, an arp, a pad and a pluck, for example. The sounds are minimalistic and straightforward – simple, it could be said – with the genre’s characteristic retro ‘naivety’ and analogue warmth, but there’s not really anything here that we haven’t heard many times before.
