The New Reaper Tutorial Course Is Finally Live!

Crack open the champagne.  It's finally here!  Yes, the long-awaited Newbies Guide to Audio Recording Awesomeness 2: Pro Recording With Reaper is live.  If you don't know what I'm talking about, here is some background.

In 2010 we released the original Newbies Guide to Audio Recording Awesomeness course, which taught you how to start recording immediately with the free audio recording and editing software called Audacity.  The target audience was made up of folks who had little-to-no money to spend on recording equipment or software, and who had never done any recording before.  The lessons were short, to-the-point, and most importantly, simple enough for anyone to understand - not just techies or engineers.

But there came a clamor for more.  Folks didn't mind spending a few bucks for better recording gear and software if it made them sound more professional.  It was clear that the next course of tutorials would have to use professional software, which Audacity decidedly is not.  But Reaper, whose pricing levels and policies are unmatched in any market, is definitely pro software.  So The Newbies Guide to Audio Recording Awesomeness 2: Pro Recording With Reaper was born.

Though the target market were mostly the same - folks with very little (if any) recording experience, the subjects being taught are super-charged compared to the Audacity version.  You are shown powerful tricks and techniques for improving workflow, especially if you are in the voice-over trade.  And for musicians, there is some more multi-track goodness with more harmonies, but there is also something totally new - the 3-part Intro To MIDI lesson, which shows you not only how to load up midi files and play them with virtual instruments, but shows you how to edit them and create your own from scratch.  And you even get some free drum samples to use with Reaper's ReaDrums.

Here is a summary of the videos you get:
